EXPERIENCE: Jim’s early career was spent working as a geotechnical engineer for various companies in the UK. However, the majority of his career (20+ years) has been spent in the application of geogrid technology in civil engineering applications. Jim has extensive experience in the design of geosynthetic-reinforced paved and unpaved roads; he also developed two of the most commonly used computer programs for the design of these structures. During the last 10 years Jim has worked closely with various rail companies and developed design methods for the use of geogrids beneath track structures; he also has expert knowledge in the design of heavily loaded rigid and flexible pavements at port and intermodal facilities.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS: Profession Engineer (P.E), registered in the State of Missouri.
EXPERIENCE: Owen practiced as a geotechnical engineer for 4 years but has spent most of his career in engineering sales. His initial commercial experience was gained working for one of the country’s largest manufacturers of steel pipe but during the last 10+ years he has worked exclusively in the promotion of geosynthetic products. Owen has specialist knowledge in the application of geosynthetics in roadway applications and also has extensive experience in the development of sales opportunities through local distribution channels.
